Gilted Edge Winery is a small, family-owned winery in Newark, Illinois, built around a simple idea: great wine is meant to be shared.

What began as a hobby and a passion for creating wine quickly grew into something much bigger. We fell in love with the process—the creativity, the experimentation, and the ability to take exceptional fruit and transform it into a wine that brings people together. Today, we continue that same hands-on approach by producing our wines in small batches, allowing the character and true flavors of each grape to shine.

Our love for the bold, fruit-forward wines of California inspired us to bring those flavors home to Illinois. From rich Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Pinot Noir to crisp, refreshing whites featuring notes of peach, pear, citrus, and green apple, our collection is intentionally diverse. Whether you prefer something bold and dry, light and crisp, or a little sweeter, we believe there should be a wine at the table for everyone.

But at Gilted Edge, we're not afraid to take wine beyond the traditional. Our philosophy—Where the Edge Meets No Limits—gives us the freedom to experiment, create unexpected flavor profiles, and develop unique collections like our signature Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wines. For us, winemaking is equal parts craftsmanship and creativity.
